SLMI is specialized in machining very large circular and irregular shaped surfaces on structural components. There is virtually no size limit because our milling cutters are controlled by a scanning laser plane and are independent of any deflections which might occur in the portable machine frame. 
 
This allows large structures to be machined in a single set up with accuracys similar to those achieved on major workshop machines. Our equipment is readily portable for any large size on site machining.

FTPL also uses CLIMAX portable machine tools and FTPL designed portable machine tools to carry out machining of irregular components up to 3000mm in size.
